i put my turbo on and i come to the conclution that i need to clock/rotate the turbo. the oil inlet and outlet are on the sides now. i started the car and oil came out the exhaust...i did not drive it like that thou. do you think i hurt anything. Also, do i have to mark anything before i clock it; basicly i have to spin the core of the turbo if that makes any since.

 

It would help if we knew what kinda turbo it is... or should I say "was".... cause you might have blown the seals....

You need to have the oil feed in from the top... and drain out the bottom since it works with gravity... make sure there are no kinks in your oil return, and you are not running to much PSI on your oil feed...

Cause to much Oil Pressure, and fucked up oil return will blow through the seals real quick...

 

its a mitsu teo4h.... i was using 1/4in brake line for oil inlet.

 

i only had it running for seconds...... maybe a tablespoon or 3 of oil came out.

 

anybody got any ideas.... should i be able to see the seals condition if i pull of the compressor and turbine side.

 

It could be that there still was sum oil in you exhaust.
hmmmmm try a bigger return line and restrict the oild feed line a bit...could be it's getting too much oild pressure.
