I've been looking at the turbo setups and noticed a couple d15b2's in there...how much are these things putting to the ground? Are they reliable?

 

faaantastic...so what should I do here? I can rebuild an a6 block with si tranny and b2 head and then turbo charge it, or just get a new clutch, rebuild the tranny and mpfi swap then boost... 150whp is what I'm shooting for...

 

be better off usin a d16a6 head

 

If you don't have the A6 head..I would do what you discribed..more displacement..but if you have the A6 head..use it..

 

I bought an agmotor and si tranny both with about 100k for 150 bucks... the catch is the camshaft got ate up by the camshaft bearings, something about the guy put in the old camshaft and over torqued the caps. I guess I could use the a6 head but the camshaft is screwed plus it's been sitting under a tarp outside without a valve cover for about a year... I thought b2 and a6 head were the same?

 

The heads are the same. The cams are different. I put 9 bottle of nitrous though my 155K mile D15B2 and it never died, 55-75 shot..

 

im in the same situation i "collect" D15B2's because people give them to me and they know im building a turbo kit so im going to get rings & bearings and go for broke
