Angry little to no boost??

i put a 99 audi turbo onto my 99 saturn sc2. as far as i can see i have no leaks but its still only allowing me to build around 2lbs of boost. not even enough to open the wastegate. ill be honest i dont know much about this stuff so any input would be much appritiated.
thanks

what do you mean when u say "know when to lift"? i mean like i said earlier i dont know much about turbo chargers. i have a blowin pontiac gto but a supercharger is a completely different ball game. and what do you mean when you say to check the spring?

thanks

Intercooler pipes are all tight? Are you getting vacuum (negative boost) at idle?

I can't believe I just said negative boost. wow.

I'm not sayin that about this...that's just a racing motto of mine!

That would mean the spring in the internal wastegate actuator that's meant to allow "excess" boost to bypass the turbine. If that spring is "too weak" it will dump valuable pressure off "prematurely". Meaning like at 2 pounds instead of like say 6 pounds.
Here's a pic of a kkk k03 turbo (probably what you've got, but still no pics from you), the wastegate actuator is the gold can looking thing on the top.

I believe the spring on a "newer" k03 has a cracking spring pressure of 3 psi/w a wide open pressure of about 7 psi. imo

Yeah, give that rod a tug, if it's fairly hard to move, you should look for boost leaks.
