I'm thinking about custom roll cage (6 pt.) fabrication and I'm trying to research exactly what type of material I need (I've seen 1020 mild steel mentioned) and different techniques as far as construction and meeting points. I don't need anything super fucken trick, just a base cage that I will build. Any good sites on construction or advice?

buy a cheap mild steel kit and build from that

build it with aluminum pipes.. non of us like you that much any ways.. lol

www.swracecars.com they have good kits.. I think you need 1 5/8" pipe with .134" wall thickness.

 

thickness, attachment points all have to do with rules.. depends on what u want.. to run legal 1/4 or just for extra street safety.

 

You know, I don't really like myself that much. That's why apc showtubes crossed my mind.
