Re: How to tune IAT and ECT

Probably around 40F, maybe a tad colder. This was a turbo setup. IAT's went up to 60 once it was around 190+ ECT's.

Re: How to tune IAT and ECT

I tuned a setup yesterday that had 45* IAT's when ECT's were under 180F. Even though those aren't normal driving conditions, the motor does see those conditions and needs to be tuned for them.

Re: wideband sensor replacements

Lucky bastard. Everywhere I called it was $79.99.

How often do you guys replace them? Mine was well over due. It probably had a hard 12 months of actual usage.

Re: wideband sensor replacements

Got the 17014 from one of the bigger auto parts suppliers here, Triangle Auto Supply. $83 and some change. That's the cheapest I could find it.

Broke it in by tuning a 15psi vitara with a turbo...

Re: wideband sensor replacements

Ok, well found Bosch #17014. $79.99 at autozone.

I'm looking to see if I can get anything cheaper.

I can't find any 98 golfs with 1.8t. All have 2.0's according to vatozones website.

wideband sensor replacements

Where do you guys buy your replacement sensors from? Didn't some VW's come with the 5 wire LSU WBO2 sensors?

I know where to order online, but I'm trying to see if I could get them at a parts...

Re: PUR Automotive tuning session! Efi tuning course! Learn to dodge payment bullets

I'm down depending on the date.

I'll be down in GA around mid April(18-20), so if it's around then I'll probably definitely be down.

Re: Camera mount, built it awhile ago

I like mine better. It's a stock headrest frame with a plate welded on and a nut/screw for the camera. Goes well on the passenger seat. Just wish it would swivel, but putting the seat forward works...

Re: boosted nogs that dialy drive!! 87 octane boost yo?

meh, I wish we had 93 here in WA. We do have 92 though. I hate how most other states have 91 as they're highest octane on most pumps. It really sucked doing my cross country drive when my car was...

Re: boosted nogs that dialy drive!! 87 octane boost yo?

So "e10" 93 is better than straight 93, or at least more knock resistant? I'd have to retune(add a few more degrees?) for the "e10" to compensate for the slower burn rate?

Sounds like hair clippers. :D

Re: NSFW tps questions NSFW adding pics now

The only way you do a true sweep is with an oscilloscope. Don't think a normal DMM can really catch anything like that.

I'd clean the MAF sensor first before buying a new TPS.
