Re: My winter upgrades

It's an old Victory Performance FMIC. The one's known for blowing welds left and right. This one has been completely rewelded though.

Re: My winter upgrades

Well figured I'd add some updates. Here's some better pictures of the carnage. Apparently I valve broke and fell into the cylinder. Still have no idea what the root cause for the valve breaking off...

Re: Good deal? Two new but old Schwitzer turbos.

You should be able to get adapter fittings for the oil inlet/outlets from Bullseye. That's where I got mine for my Schwitzer/BW turbo. They may even have other turbine housings for you to use on...

Re: My winter upgrades

Got the new TB on. Reset the idle and all that little stuff today. Let the car idle for 30 minutes and it was idlling like a champ. Went 3 blocks to fill her up with some E85, and got a car wash. I...

Re: My winter upgrades

Well I'd say my clutch and tranny are broken in enough to start having fun again. I did give my Throttle Body to someone to replace the seals in them as I was worried it was leaking. I should be...

Re: My winter upgrades

I brought the car in last Thursday to get my new clutch/tranny installed. I'm running out of time to do some of this crap myself. Anyhow, should be getting the car back tonight. I'll be breaking in...

Re: My winter upgrades

I do it myself. I did have it tuned by LSE in the past, but now a days I just do it myself. It will be up on DB's dyno next month though just to see what kind of numbers it's putting down!

Re: My winter upgrades

The car just felt real weak. It felt slower then it was with the old setup, just down on power. I got a lot of advice from some of the better tuners, and mainly just changed the timing a bit, then...

Re: My winter upgrades

You'll have to show me what exactly that BOV is going into sometime!

As for the radiator, it works and was real cheap. The only thing I don't like is the tabs they place on the top of the radiator...

Re: My winter upgrades

She's alive, and idling like a champ. Did a couple quick pulls. I'm seeing about 46lb/min flow at 20psi, but I'm way down on power for some reason. But nice to have her out and about and running well...

Re: My winter upgrades

Got some other misc stuff done. Had to slot some holes to lower the hood latch a bit to get it to fit better. Also put the hood pins on which helped as well. Hood fitment is much better now then it...

Re: My winter upgrades

I got a hell of a deal on it, but typically the one I got is a bit spendy, around $1400. They aren't cheap turbos that's for sure. Also for the most part, BW turbos are oil cooled, non-ball bearing...

Re: My winter upgrades

Sorry, I guess I didn't really give a backround on the car besides what I'm chaning. It's a 91 AWD. Has a Mahle/Eagle built 2.0, along with just your typical supporting mods for what I'm doing.
