Re: for tuners.. i was wondering..

typically if you're tuning a car for someone it would be assumed you have experience. if you're at a dyno shop a tuner will/should have you sign a damage waiver stating you are the owner or owners...

Re: how to make this td04L work

remove the brass v-band clamp so you can rotate the center section to point the oil return down (you'll have to grind the locating pin on one side of the housing). get a VERY strong pair of c-clip...

Re: Can shop tuners tune Crome/GhettoDyne etc?

shop tuners can tune anything as long as they know the system, but some choose not to because they have a preference in what they use or know.

Re: How do you tune for timing retard?

you can tune timing until you start to hear detonation then back off a couple degrees, but using a dyno allows you to see where the increases in timing actually benefit and add power. there is...

Re: y7 map

you can't mount any iacv to a y7 intake manifold...you have to swap a y8 manual trans intake manifold w/ 2 wire iacv. you will need to move 1 wire in the harness at the ecu.

you can use a y8...

Re: y7 map

cromepro and i converted to y8 intake manifold w/ 2 wire iacv. you'll need to do the same.

don't forget to confirm that your dizzy timing is 12 degree at 800ish rpm.

Re: y7 map

you can try this, but make sure you set timing at dizzy to 12/13 degree and still get it on the dyno to fine tune. it works flawlessly w/ over 200whp on my setup, but never trust someone else's tuned...

Re: Subapoo TD04 good deal?

when you consider the low miles and likely great condition it's worth it. most people get td04 or td05 from dsm's for half that, but they are usually questionable regarding seals and miles. a rebuild...

Re: memory range problems when burning chips

make sure you have the correct chip selected in the menu. chip addressing start address needs to be 008000 and it'll make the other buffer changes for you. you need to erase the chip prior to buring...

your credit score is probably great if you have the little debt you have and...

Re: oil inlet TD04L-13G wrx turbo

it's either a m10x1.5 or m10x1.25. go to napa w/ the turbo and ask for banjo fittings and banjo bolts. they'll pull out a parts tray that'll have a crapload of different sizes you can try. otherwise...

Re: Boosted D16 runs shitty..

how much psi did you tune it for w/ partial throttle? if it spiked to 20psi it definately went way lean and too much timing. i've run 14psi on my y7, but i wouldn't think it could take a 20psi spike....

Re: Boosted D16 runs shitty..

if you boosted to 20psi on a stock block you might have toasted it and it's unrelated to the vac line connected at this point. do a comp test. where did you have the vac line for the wastegate prior...
