But none of the companeis offer a life time warranty on them.

Simply because torque wrenches will break over time.

General rule of thumb is every 6 months I think. I imagine it doesn't need to be recalibrated that frequently if you don't use it that much.

I think 6 months as a technician is about the average...

IMO, Mac makes the best.

The only thing that sucks with torque wrenches, you gotta keep them calibrated, so be sure to buy from somewhere that will re-calibrate for you later on.
