Hello guy and gals!!!!!!!!! My name is Brian, and I to am in search of information. I have often dreamed of the day I'd build that ultimate sbc! I have tried na,spray, supercharged, cams, heads ect........ But just never seemed to be enough without major issue. (Speaking from experience) The cost that is associated with those paths can be great. So after 12 years of beating my pockets lose, I got a lesson on home made turbo set-up. Don't get me wrong. I'm a die-hard Chevy man all day. But this single(hmt) blow-though mustang was just laying the hurt on everyone! Even my aluminum headed 407sbc(which is the targeted project) with a 100 shot. I did ask as many questions as I could, but he's a student from another state. So about an hour of the subject, and I was sold. 1,400 dollars for his 10.second sleeper. Plus the car he was out 5,500 bucks!!!!! I have seen guys spend 50 times that to achieve those #s,lol. Me included. After 1 pass in the turbo-stang,and the color returned to my face. I am going to learn the ups and downs, rights an wrongs,do and don't of turbo-chargeing a sbc. I will post all of my pics and vids of my progress,so others can learn just as I am. I am building an 86 chevy coupe. 3,400lbs/th-350/3.42 8.5 rear/407cid. The plan is a single blow through turbo system that is simple. I know the controversy on street able carb applications, but that stang ran like a town car. Lol,when he wasn't hitting the throttle. I look forward to hearing from all of you,and thanks for giving guys like me a place to go for the knowledge we seek!!!!
