Default Hello from Kentucky

Hello everyone! I live in Kentucky, USA.

Retired, married, grand kids, and VWs are my passion!

I have an '84 VW Vanagon that I installed a 2002 Jetta ALH TDI engine. It is an awesome little machine.

For those not familiar with the VW TDI engine, it is a Turbo Direct Injection diesel engine. It uses a Garrett VNT Turbo.

It has a Malone Stage 1 tune (very mild) which gives it lots of good response.

The ALH TDI engine handles the Van just fine. In fact, we did a 33 day 11k mile road trip July-August 2014 ......... pulling a PopUp Camper.

Anyway, tinkering with Turbos is of great interest to me. I've disassembled and cleaned several VNT 15 turbos.
