Central Illinois

Hey everyone, new member from central Illinois here. I have a home made 2000 Saturn LS1 Turbo, It began it's force fed life with a stock 2.2 Ecotec, 5spd manual, GM-8 turbo from a 6.5 Diesel, Saab turbo manifold with a schedule 40 short radius 90 and a T3 plate welded up by a buddy of mine, FMU, 30lb ford injectors and a small intercooler. (AFR Gauge, Fuel PSI, and Boost) I ran this setup at multiple psi ranges, and toyed with some 42# injectors and e85 with the fmu but had a horrible rich and sometimes completely dead spot off idle.

After an unfortunate lean condition I threw a rod and began again. This time equipped with Eagle rods, Probe forged pistons, and a 3582 "oriental express" lol turbo. Still rocking the fmu and still no tune to speak of and battling some detonation. The clutch decided to come apart in the center and this began more doing.
The car will be going back together in a few weeks again this time with the addition of comp cams turbo grind cams, home ported  head, ky stage 3 clutch, welded diff, larger intercooler, 80# injectors, aem 320 fuel pump, 82# valve springs and probably the most important of all HP tuners to tune the darn thing. and ditching the fmu. Plans are for the 20psi range with this turbo and setup.
Currently I am driving an 02 Cavalier LN2 auto car that will more than likely inherit the unused parts. So far this car has been my hp tuners test mule.
I also have a long term project for my son and I that will either have a turbo LS style engine or an turbo SBC and six speed since I already have a lt six speed laying around. 1970 Skylark

This Saturn has started a horrible turbo addiction that I am sure will continue to many future vehicles (since I rarely hang on to them long)
