5L V8 turbo
I'm in Cali, and I am building a turbo rig using a holset HE351Ve on a 5L v8 engine. My ultimate goal is 10 psig with intercooling, as a maximum. I have a spare engine which I will dish out to lower the comp ratio and add MLS head gaskets to allow higher levels of boost. For now, this is a proof of concept.
By way of background, I am a chemist by training, but a lifelong mechanic, since age 3. I love to tinker, and I love to fabricate. I have access to a phenomenal machine shop and I have a good friend who is the same way and is going to help me with the project.
If this works out, that turbo is going on EVERY vehicle I own :evilgrin:
