Big Trip to Ireland
Mar. 29th -Apr. 7th was my big trip to Ireland. My big brother Kevin lives over their with his new wife Catherine. Our whole family was invited over for their wedding. This is probably one of the biggest trips I have ever had out of the country.

(lots of pics on this page, give time to load 35pics)
Heres the family.. Mom, Brother in-law Kurt, Sister Cindy, Aunt Phyillis, Uncle Bob, and Chuck. This was one of our layover's. We had 2 stops on our flight to Ireland. One in Chicago and one in London.
After 16 hours of layovers and flights I was really getting tired. We walked about 2 miles at London Heathrow Airport to get to our connecting flights, what a work out!
Talk about expensive! how does a 16oz coke sound for $4.25 U.S?
When we finally arrived in Ireland, we stopped off at the Holiday Inn to rent our 2 cars. I got really excited when we got their and busted out my camera. All these cars I have never seen before, Opels/Fiat/Rover/Peugeot/Renault/Skoda/Mini/MG/Austin/Alfa Romeo/Maserati/Citroen... True JDM HONDA's and tons more!
This was one of the first cars that caught my eye. A JDM 91 Honda Integra XSI. Equipped with a B16a and YS1 Tranny. This guy just started laughing at me when I asked him if I could take some pics of his car. He thought his car was just a peice of shit and nothing special. Well probably over their it is, but it was just werid seeing the Honda badge on a Acura Car.

Note the 1 peice headlights.. Very nice
These is where we stayed for 7 days. They call this place the B&B.short for Bed & Breakfeast. Basically its someones home that has been converted into small rooms for people to stay in. Like a mini-motel. It was pretty nice, and I could not argue about the price $22 U.S a night! You also get the Full Irish Breakfeast, something I will always remember. Let me just say this, stay away from the pudding they may look like sasuage but their not :)
Ah yes, good ole Sunday Mass. This is something that I really looked forward to, I was a bit suprised not to see my Brother Kevin their. (haha)
Their are lots of these little churchs in Ireland, I think we we saw every single one of them, they are just a blast! sense that sarcasim?
Oh father please fogive me, thou has sinned, I havent been to church in over 3 years.
This is when we were exiting the Japanese Gardens/Stud Ranch
(which was very lame might I add, but our family snuck in for free)

Look at this unit, talk about a peice of nasty ass. This was probably one of the stupiest cars I saw their. FIAT!
Ah yes, The not-so Full Irish Dinner that Catherine's family made us. This dinner was great! Some dishes I was afraid to try, but I am a puss when it comes to trying differnt foods. I must say that Cheesecake was just awsome!
Oh baby, now heres a car. This is my brothers 91 Civic 4door SI. This unit has every single option, from electric folding side mirrors to auto climate control. Fully equipped with a 1.6l DOHC ZC / ZC 5sp Trans. Very nice car, and a good canidate for a HomemadeTurbo project.
How sweet, 1 peice headlights! It would be a bit tough to install these on anything else but a 4door civic since their is a lower section below the lights, which makes them thinner then Civic 2doors/Crx's.

Dont worry Bro, I'll get you some factory emblems coming!
This was one of our bigger days, we went into the big city of Dublin. Here is a pic at the train station where we got off. Leia had to pay 25 cents to go to the bathroom, I thought it was kinda funny.
I could not stop myself, I had to check my email and get on a computer, This was a Cyber Internet Cafe in Dublin. like 2 bucks for 30mins.

Oh yes, that is a Guinness stocking cap!
Finally! found a JDM crx, I was looking all over to see one. This one is a 90 Honda Crx SI. It was spoted at the big university in Dublin (Trinity?) The car was in really rough shape.
........................ what can I say.............. to sexy to describe............ I was just drooling over that peice. It had a backseat, climate control and all the bells and whistles. I dont think this crx had the b16a, I belive the SIR's only had them. So more then likly this had a ZC installed.
Damn, looks like I have a big ole ass in that picture.. haha.

This is called... The curiey? something like that.. basically its a bunch of free land that anyone can use. Lots of sheep roaming around. This is also where BraveHeart was filmed at.
Here is me and Kurt doing some friendly MTV's Jackass....
Me and Leia at Dublin Castle... I think this Castle burnt down a few times, The irish have a long history of accidentl fires.
Since 95% of the cars in Europe are Manuals, I went to go check this Grand Cherokee out, I was thinking damn I bet that 4.7l V8 5speed must just haul ass, Well as I looked at it closer, I found out it was a Turbo Diesal!, Intercooled with a nice hood scoope!
This was on our trip back from the Waterford Crystal factory. A herd of cows decided they wanted to walk in the street with traffic.
I spotted this Del Sol wearing the CRX name.. I saw a few others like this that didnt say Del Sol at all.. Just CRX... kinda werid
The big day, Kevin & Catherine finally got married! It was a very nice ceramony. This was probably the only day my brother has ever done a speech, tango dance and Karokee in one day.
The wedding car, an old 59 Austin, a Classic! A very nice touch with the Irish flag and American flag.
After the wedding we had a party train heading over to the reception at a very old castle. This was my chance to drive my brothers civic, but he gave me the big No on that one. "you will take the little civic to redline," So the best man Scott drove the civic with me and leia.
As we drove to the reception, I noticed Scott was getting a bit close to the curbs, and not having a good depth perception on his left hand side. About 100 yards before we made it, Scott Nailed the Curb with the left front tire. Blew out the brand new front tire!
I volentered to put on the spare tire.... Yup he should of let me drove.
Very Nice...
This is Kilkea Castle where the reception was held at. Very nice place! It has been converted into a nice hotel. Built around 1180.
Nothing like a Creamy Thick Dark Pint of Guinness... ya right, that beer taste like ass.
Euro Spec 99 Civic HB DX. Check out the front, looks nice.
Most Civics over their are very small motors. Kinda rare to even see a 1.6l.. most civics have 1.4l's D14z2's. the smallest engine I saw as a d13b2's in a 89 civic hb.
This is Emily's 92 Civic HB. Emily is Catherine's younger sister (irish babe), She let me and Leia Drive her Car, Very nice car! JDM Civic Hatch (base model) sporting a d15z2 Vtec (red valve cover). JDM cars in Ireland are VERY cheap compared to regular hondas in the states.

Shifting with the left hand was a bit werid, tough to get use to it. But the hardest part was adjusting to all the mirrors.
Emily took me and Leia to Dublin. I really wanted to hit up some junkyards to maybe find some used JDM parts and take them back home with me. The girls dropped me off at 2 junkyards.. I was a bit overwhelmed with all the cars their. B16's/ZC's JDM anything everywhere! lots of good stuff. The only downside is that I couldnt bring back a bunch of stuff, just small stuff.  Plus I didnt have any tools. I did end up getting some Civic headlights (H4 bulb 1 peice housing) and some Crx Power window controls Lh/Rh switchs. The junkyard guy let me borrow a open end 10mm wrench to get the headlights out, that was a bit trickey.

I asked him how much this Engine/Tranny was, and he said 250 euro, which is like $200 U.S!!! I wanted it bad!
Well that was my big trip to Ireland, I must say it was ALOT of fun, and would totally go back when I am 25 years old So I can rent a car and drive around.

My Brother has a Great new Family over their, but we all miss him!!!

(btw, I did take other pictures then just cars)
The End
