zc tranny
??? ??? ??? i got a zc tranny and stuck with the si one bc of my axle questions. i do not have a zc intermediate shaft so can i use my stock axles? i have dx axles. i work at a garage and the part number for the si and dx axles is the same.

Re:zc tranny
Si/DX axles are interchangable I believe. The ZC tranny uses equal length axles therefore you need a inter. shaft like you said.

Re:zc tranny
if you need an intermediate shaft use the 89 integra. should work

Re:zc tranny
from what ive read up on the teg works but it needs a little rigging as in the hole to bolt up the intm. shaft needs to be drilled to match the tranny other than that why work

Re:zc tranny
As said, the 88-89 teg Ishaft/jack shaft is not a bolt on deal.. and ZC 5pseed intermediate shafts are tough to find.

Re:zc tranny
Only use the ZC tranny if you are going N/A. The tranny is geared really low. I had a CRX with a ZC and I went with the ZC tranny, and wished I didn't. Its like driving a KX 250 dirt bike. Shift, Shift, Shift. In 5th at 65mph I was turning 3300 rpm. I had a mild built motor, a HF body and lots of traction problems. 1st, 2nd and 3rd all I did was spin. I ended up cracking the bell housing on the tranny. Go with the Si tranny, better all around.
