Default ZC questions

I just got my CRX squared away with a DOHC ZC, CCA FMIC, and a 14b turbo. My questions are, what is the OEM redline for a DOHC ZC? And I am also having it tuned this coming Saturday, and need to know what boost I should shoot for. I was thinking 10psi but Id rather not blow the motor, so maybe Ill just stick to 8. For tuning I have a vafc, a btm, and colder plugs. Thanks.

7200rpm and 10psi is a safe setting.

I'm assuming you have 450 inj. Also be very conservative when you first start w/ boost. Retard timing more than usual and run the motor fat. I do this also w/ nitrous set ups and then you can go from there. Better then popping the motor on the first try.

Ok. Now I know everyone says its all in the tuning, but how do you define a good tune? Is it simply keeping it rich (12:1?) without detonation?

he right. your setup sounds just like my current setup. for street driving i have .5 retard on the btm and i run 8-9psi. at the track i run 10-11 with zero retard and i know it could take more boost but im trying to make this motor last. im shifting it at 7k on a pg7 ecu/w afc... but listne to chris start off with low boost get used to it and then graduallly work your way up and listen for pinging!!
