ZC question
Now, I have been told, that the DOHC ZC head will fit right up to a sohc block, header, intake, etc. Also was told that a dohc zc motor is a sohc size block (like a z6) with the dohc head on it. is this true?

Re: ZC question
a dohc zc head will NOT bolt up to a sohc block, intake manifold the block for the zc is the same size as other d16 blocks but the bolt patteren and cooling passages do not match any sohc d16/15 blocks any other acceserys will bolt up thow i.e. exhaust manifolds most sensors altenators you get the point

Re: ZC question
it will work with some modifications.
do a search and you will find one guy that has done it. he actually used a d15 block. |
Re: ZC question
not worth it zc sucks. u might as well go b16 or go d15/16 vtec.

Re: ZC question
Hybrid shows this for the dohc ZC:
137 bhp @ 6800 108 lb-ft @ 5700 Redline: 7200 rpm |
Re: ZC question
thanx, i was just curious. I have a jdm D15B vtec turbo setup in my civic, and if that worked i was going to buy a zc head... jus thought i'd ask first! also on the subject, I plan now on swapping with a LS motor, but i wanna do LS/vtec. what head will give me the lowest compression ratio and best power output with my turbo on it?
|
Re: ZC question
best power output would be gsr, higher compression. B16 will give you the lower compression ratio due to the larger combustion chamber.
