im going to get a zc lsd tranny next week and i had a few questions. how do i tell if it's a zc lsd tranny for one? does it say lsd on it somewhere. it comes with the jdm halfshaft, do i use integra axles to put it in my crx?

 

For one you can look through the axle shaft holes (you should be able to see right through it) normally you would see a pin right there. I know on newer 92+ trannys will have a lsd stamp, not sure if the older ones have it. Thats a very rare tranny.

As far as axles, lots of people have problems with ZC trannys & axle configs, some people use the 90-93 axles, but some people have alot of problems with those.

 

what about old integra axles like 88-89?

 

I've heard more problems with those than any axles for the ZC trannys.

Yup, it was bolted to the engine in the car, and never had any axles, hehe. That was actualy one of the factors I bailed on my first race car. I couldnt figure out wtf I was going to do for High Hp axles on that tranny.

 

I have been using 90-93 teg axles with my zc/si trans for over a year no problems. I believe raxles can make a axle that is equal to the jdm zc axles.

 

the second gen hydro LSD trannies use D series axles. Gator actually sells axels for the DOHC ZC tranny with LSD.
