ZC engine fucked?

ZC engine fucked?
Bought a 1990 civic 1600 ZC today. On the way home it started backfiring like crazy so I pulled over.
Never seen this before but the two middle spark plugs are sitting higher than the other ones , but it still makes the pop/click sound when they connect.
Ecu is throwing a code 4 and a code 8 , being the CPS and TDC.
Tried jump-starting it but no joy
Has anyone ever had similiar problems or could this be the end of its life?

make sure the pin out for the CPS is right and they both are connected good and then pull the distributer and find TDC then bolt it back up. sound like they didnt know how to set the ignition timing.as far as the plugs pull the two out and see if they left the washers from the old plugs in there.
