ok, were flashing a code 8, i believe thats the tdc, which i think is in the distributer. is there any way of fixing this without getting a new dizzy? tearing a distributer apart is not a problem for us, but we havent ever messed with this sensor. car runs ok, idles a little rough, happened last night too. the car has ran perfectly for a while now,ever since we dropped the motor in. it just happened out of the blue. any help would be appreciated, thanks

 

Theirs only 2 things that you can get at the dealer that are replaceable parts for that dizzy.. The Ignitor and the Coil. The little pickups for TDC and the other sensor you will not be able to get.

I'm pretty sure you are SOL, and need to get another distributor.

But you are right it's inside of the dizzy, the Cam angle sensor is off the exhaust side.
