Default ZC cam into a6

Has anyone tried a ZC cam into an a6? Ive hear it is a pretty cheap way to get a slightly more aggressive cam profile, didnt know if there would be any problems.

valves are the same...

cam is "different", but only on the exhaust lobes. IIRC it has longer duration, but the same lift

the SOHC ZC has never been PROVEN to be more agressive.

Yes, I'm capable of measuring the differences.......but no one willing to send me one to run through the cam checker.

some of the ones I've measured personally.......

D15B7 92-95 DX 16V

Lift @ valve
In = .321
Ex = .305

Duration @ .050"
In = 190 deg
Ex = 190 deg

D16A6 88-91 EX/Si 16V

Lift @ valve
In = .368
Ex = .356

Duration @ .050"
In = 190
Ex= 190

Crane 251-0016

Lift @ valve
In = .421
Ex = .414

Duration @ .050"
In = 216
Ex = 218

yeah the casting are the same, everything the same but cam and part numbers forthe exhaust valves and springs. I dont know if the rates are different,but the valves are the same size. I'm tring to find the info right now. With the cam, the durration and lift is different only on the exhaust side, i think only the exhaust. hope that makes sense.

PROVE the exhaust duration is differnt, just don't post a link lame *** link............

I called them out, no answer.

If there was a duration difference I'd been running a SOHC ZC cam. But since NO ONE will submit for testing a puny cam. I'll go about my MILD Crane 251-0016 cam awiting the biggee.

Now what am I gonna do with .475+ valve lift?

I did find what i was looking for along the lines of the cam. It was measured with a dial inicator. The readings may be off but they should be onsistent.

FI ZC
227.43@264.86 INT
196.35@150.02 EX

FI A6
227.55@264.83 INT
194.32@145.01 EX
If thats not good enough, send me a cam and ill send you my zc cam
I havent found the partnumbers yet because i havent looked for them yet
