ZC Aftermarket Pistons
Im looking for pistons for my ZC build-up.
So far Ive contacted Endyne and got thier quote for 9:1 ZC roller-wave. $485.00 for the pistons, $78.00 for rings. Race Engineering Wisecos. Here is thier response to my question. Our pistons are designed for the D16A1 ZC engine. Compression is 9:1 for Turbo applications. I was interested in your Wiseco Honda ZC pistons. I just wanted to make sure that they weren't relabeled high compression (11.0:1) D16Z6 or D16Y8 NA pistons. I was planning to using them for a turbo application and didn't want the high ring land NA piston design. Can you please provide me with some tech assistance. So... Do you guys have any input?? Is race eng right?? Is 9:1 on the D16A1 really 9:1 on the ZC?? Are the roller-waves worth the extra money?? Id love your 2 cents. |
Re: ZC Aftermarket Pistons
The roller waves are worth the money.IMO if you got the cash go with Endyne.

is this like V-Tech?????????
ENDyne is an application that implements the Electron Nuclear Dynamics (END) theory for studying the interaction between molecular geometry and electronic structure in a time-dependent and self-consistent way. Hey Marty.......MARTY!!!!!!!!!! |

I just got D16a6 11:0:1 SRPs. I could argue with the price. 265.00 with rings!

Re: ZC Aftermarket Pistons
d16a1 pistons are the ones to use for ZC's...the older brown top ZC has the same pistons design as the D16A1...with the same lower compratio as the d16a1..think it was 9.2:1 or 9.1:1 .
The raceneng ZC pistons are made by wiseco. |
