The zc does have a little stronger rods and higher compression but BBKA got 216 whp out of his z6 so that's just as much or more than a zc turbo would make. Like semnos said, get the z6 if your in the states cause it will be a lot less hassle to get parts and ----.

i'm just guessing at this, but i think that you must've read that the ZC has more torque due to its "unique 90mm stroke" from an ebay engine seller.

If not, oh well, but i've seen the seller on ebay. its retarded. all d16s are 90mm stroke.

It is true however, that a d16 will outtorque a b16 provided they have similar mods.. torque is almost a direct relation to displacement. The thing is, the B16 has such a short stroke that its torque doesnt peak until a lot later in the rpm band.

DOHC VTEC engines make a lot of horsepower per liter of displacement due to the design of VTEC itself, but the torque numbers will always be very similar to any non VTEC engine of the same displacement.
