Z6 vs. Y7 rods! whats the difference

get them checked for stretch. If you use different rods your bearings are going to be all different.

Well im using a rod from a y7 that i have, and i looked and compared it to the z6 ones, and it has the same Underlined 6 on it? there isnt any engine codes or anything so im thinking they are the same??

I thought that only aluminum rods stretched due to their low tolerence for heat

Im thinking that they are the same! ill have them checked out! I would think that any rod could stretch, i mena they can bend!! lol

Highly doubt the rods are going to stretch, and even if they do its going to be incredibly minimal. Rod bolts are more likely to strecth than a entire rod.

I wouldnt doubt if Z6/Y8/Y7/A6 rods are all the same, I have a box full and they all look pretty much the same to me.
