z6 into eg - hooking up vtec??

alright. ive been searching for the past 3 hours, and i guess im just not using my brain right or something.. but next weekend ill be dropping a z6 into my 94 dx hatch... and i cant remember where i found the write up, probably a year or two ago, on how to hook up vtec with my dx harness

i know theres a link, i just cant find it right now - brain fart

im gonna run a xenocron chipped p28 because in two weeks ill have the turbo kit on, so i wont need rpm switch or anything, and i dont want to change over my complete wiring harness, so what do i do, lol

sorry for the wack question and thanks in advance

just wire up the vtack + vtec pressure. if you dont want to do it, find a eg si/ex engine harness and plug the fucker up.

ya that would be a great idea but what about the wiring to the ecu ya thats kinda important

only 92 civic's had the cabin wired for vtec that were dx/cx's

I know this because I saw it with my own 2 dookie green eyes

I had a 95 dx and i just ran 2 of the 3 wires through the firewall to the ecu. One is a ground that you don't need to go all the way.

wow, flashback to 1998, it is so weird!!!!!!!!!!!!

getting the wiring to the pins @ the ECU is the hard part, 18g or 16g speaker wire is all you need.

alrighty, so my new ecu should be coming from xenocron very soon, so now all i have to do is wire up vtec and ill be set to throw my turbo on... this was my first swap ever, and my first time really doing nething to this car.... got everything in and hooked up and it was idling like ---- and bogging like crazy in 1st and second running on the stock ecu from my b7... spent a week not driving it trying to figure it out from what i have read on boards, i finally got a new set of spark plugs and the problem was gone... yeah yeah, im kickin myself right now... so when i wire vtec to my new ecu the green clip i wire to the ecu.... what is this gray one? knock? lol i really have no clue.... thanks a lot

The grey one is your vtec oil pressure switch. You should be able to disable it with uber/crome. Otherwise, there's one wire in there that needs to go to your ecu and the other is a ground.

grey connector is the vtec soleniod connector, the green one is pressure switch.
