z6 head on y7 block

i was just wondering if a z6 head will work on a y7 block?

Yes it will work. Its the same *** the Y7 head but with Vtec

the y8 is vtec too. i read that you have to use an adjustable cam gear with the z6 head. anything else extra that i need? new pistons?
