Just wondering if there is a difference. A friend has a built y7 bottom end with a y8 head and it is dog slow til vknock kicks in then it pulls how it should. Wondering if dizzy change could help. I know one is obd2 and the other obd1.

 

I dont know what a dizzy is but if its a sparking machine they have totally different bolt patterns

 

Bolt holes are different between them.


Tell him to set set the vknock setting lower.

Yea bold holes/Case are different. Just swap the Internals out if you need to. Direct fit

 

Not when I tried it. ICM is mounted differently and I think something else.

 

every thing between a y8 distrubiter n z6 are interchange able. mine is a y8 housing with z6 internals with a6 harness clips looks stock and clean as can be. i also did a z6 housing with y8 internals for my buddies z6 swap in a ek n he has never had a problem with any of it
