z6 block with y8 head....some questions

allright so i bought another hatch a week ago....its a 90 si, but it has a d15b2 block.....everything else is from the si.....i am sick of how slow it is so i bought a z6 shortblock and have a y8 head laying around so im gonna swap that in.....ive done a bunch of searching and found some info but its mostly for mini-me's......my questions are:
what timing belt
what headgasket (will be turboed soon)

and also what should i expect? will there be any gains or losses with using that combo? or am i still looking at around 125 crank hp?

o ya and i have a slight grind into 3rd, is there a good tranny fluid that would "fix" it? or how hard is it to replace a synchro? ive just never pulled a tranny apart.....done swaps and turboed cars but trannys are foriegn to me lol......thanks in advance!

thats what i thought, now you said gear, are you saying i should use the z6 cam gear instead of the y8 gear?

i got this combo, its ok. it feels the same as just a z6 or y8, maybe 1 or 2 hp more :o. the only advantage you get by using the y8 head is that the si distributor fits easier if you stay obd0. i think either headgasket will work, and same with the timing belt. its been a few years since the swap though, so im not 100% positive.

ok well should i buy the synchromesh? cuz i have another l3 tranny (88-91 si) that has a bad input shaft....so i was thinkin i could swap a new synchro from that tranny, or buy one......is it hard to replace a synchro? how much does it cost to have a shop do it if you bring them the tranny?
