Default z6 block...if i can use a y7 head, what ecu? can i use a p06?

im picking up a z6 block. i want to keep it non-vtec for now, so i was thinking a y7 head. can i use a p06 ecu for this? what about the d15b7 head? will arp head studs for a d16 work with the d15b7 head? or is all this a waste of time and just use a z6 head, and buy a p28? im just doing forged internals, and block fill...shooting for 250whp with a 14b. thanks.

i'd stick with the vtec head..it'll give you better flow..you can always just dissable vtec if your that worried about it

if you use a y7 head, one of the headbolts is longer or shorter, i dont remember. but also, if you have obd1, your dizzy wont line up in the head, only one bolt will hold it on. i tried to put a y7 in my car but the engine had no compression and bent intake valves. im not sure what ecu you would use. i would stick with the z6, this way you avoid all kinds of mismatched parts. good luck
