yay for new noises

the b16 is making a new noise that im unfamiliar with. it sounds kinda like a playing card in the spokes of a bike, but alot quieter. im thinking its has something to do with my valvetrain not getting oil :(

any input?

Simple get a oil pressure gauge and test that ----. Also dont go rippin on it with noises unless you like buying new motors.

Drain your oil and make sure you dont have shavings in it

also check your valve lash and get a gauge man

checked my cel i got one for the oil pressure switch, went thru the flowchart and i have continuity. so im guessing its not the switch or my connections. any ideas? oh and the noise is getting louder/worse

and i get rod knock from? low oil pressure?

edit*

btw the continuity on my oil pressure switch is only one ohm and the continuity on my spool solenoid valve is about 20 something ohms. is this a bad thing?

ok i figured it out. when i used the rywire subharness i put 2 of the pins in the wrong spots. what does the oil pressure switch do anyways?

If you're talking about the oil pressure switch near the vtec solenoid, It makes sure that you have sufficient oil pressure before vtec is engaged. If you don't have enough oil pressure, vtec won't engage. There's another similar switch on the back of the block that activates the dummy light in your dash.
