Yeah, you can just throw the DPFI on it and it'll run fine the distributor also bolts to the head, theres the radiator fan thermoswitch on the back of the block on the d15, and on the Y7 its on the thermostat neck but i just put mine on a switch, it'll be torquey too.

a d16y7 is an obd2 motor if im correct. so just dropping it in an 88 rex it will not bolt and go. youll need an obd0 dizzy. and why stay dpfi. swap to the mpfi and gain some more power, i swear if you put on that dpfi and not go mpfi and switch to either obd1 or stay obd0 i will personally come and kick you in the nuts because you have no right in being here. i swapped from dpfi to mpfi as soon as i found this site in hopes of turboing my hatch. now im just an installition away.....

Re: y7 in the an 88 crx

My Y7 is OBD0 it works with perfection Ive done it dont tell me the ---- dont work. And the DPFI will run just fine cause the ports on the Y7 head are just as big as the DPFI mani. ANd as Ive stated almost everything from the D15 will bolt on the Y7, driver side motor mount, dizzy, alternator bracket. If you need more info lemme know.
