I would highly recommend NOT GETTING A B16 Tranny!!! I have a GSR Tranny on my B20 and you shift a lot... I don't think this will be a problem once I vtec it, but I can't imagine even a shorter gear ratio. My engine does 3000RPM @ 60mph & 4000 RPM @ 80mph (5th gear) on the freeway, so the B16 Tranny would be even higher, which if you have an exhaust (mines is quiet), will **** u off. If you plan on lsvtec-ing, go for it, but if ur gonna run it stock (6800 rev limiter), DON'T DO IT!!!

Just my $.02

you can either be quiet and go stock like or go with a B16 tranny and be quicker and go def. You have your choice

The point being that is considerbly higher than his LS Tranny. What does your b18/b20 do on the freeway? Oh... You don't have one? Than why are u talking

j/k

I have a YS-1 tranny on my B18B1 and I have to shift to 5th gear before the quarter mile is over. If you are planning on boosting, go with another LS tranny. Its cheaper and you won't have to shift so much. Your et's will be quicker and more consistent because you won't be loosing time shifting.

But,if you love to shift then go with the B16 tranny, or the GSR tranny, or the ITR tranny!!!

i have a trans from a integra xs-i from japan...i believe that these trans have the shortest gear ratio right?? the y1 has a little longer gear so will that make my ET time slower? this is the only cable trans i can find here(y1)
