Different pickup than the xenocron pump. Walbro is fine.

for me having the same problem with mine, under 1/2 tank it would start to act funky...going down a hill stalls the car out if Im under 1/2 tank...glad to see i'm not the only one and that using a different pick-up solves the problem!

yeah, wtf??? i have the same issue. on the dyn t was fine, didnt bog or shut off. beut when i drove it home it died after each stop i made at a light. not cool!

so to fix this do i need to use my OEM pick up or what? i hate having to ride around with half a tank all the time. I need to drive till it hits E dammit!

Re: xenocron 255 fuel pump car shuting off problem

hahaha, try putting on the stock honda fuel pump pick up/sock on the xenocron fuel pump. I talked to Jay*** (NOT JEFF) (XenocronHelp) about it, "xenocronHELP (4:30:38 PM): yea the install kits arent the greatest
xenocronHELP (4:30:48 PM): because they are made for a lot of different cars
xenocronHELP (4:30:54 PM): the factory sock shold work better
xenocronHELP (4:32:47 PM): yea the one that comes with those pumps is pretty short"

Again, STOCK HONDA FUEL PUMP PICK UP ON XENOCRON 255lph Fuel pump FTW!

word...

im not sure if the issue is becasue the pickup is shorter (which doesnt make 100% sense in my head) or because the fit of the stock pickup is better. Eitehr way it works, it just seems to work better with the stock sock/pickup from what ive heard.

If i remember correctly...I did this probably a year ago now...when I was installing the pump in the CRX it seemed to sit a little different in the "basket" the that the pump sits on in the tank, I think I had to spin it around and face it the other way for the sock/pick up to face the way the stock one did...I also believe there was a noticeable size difference from the stock one, the new pumps being smaller and shorter...pump works great other then this issue I need to drop my tank again so I will try and get some pictures if I can and compare it to the stock pump...but I've been saying I am gonna drop the tank for a few months now :S lol

I have been BEGGING for a year for to the company that supplies me to refine their pick-ups to closer replicate the stock fit...without any headway.

I need to start putting a note in the boxes to continue to use the stock sock unless it is physically damaged I guess.
