would a header drop compression?

just wondering if going from a stock manifold on say a z6 to a header will actually drop compression

I had an argument with some guy and he says it will, makes no sence to me as to why it would

Re:would a header drop compression?

It will lower backpressure, not compression in the cylinders when ALL valves are closed...
