Wiring dpfi to mpfi. why?

I am rewiring my ef hatchy to mpfi in class with assistance of my teacher whos more of a oldschool mechanic. Ive never done this before so iim kinda rolling through it with the guidelines of fourthgenhatch.com's writeup. He comes up wioth the idea that the full si engine harness i have and full dx engine harness. With the use of alldata's wiring schematics he thinks we can just switch the connector the injectors are run from and put the ressitor box on and everything else will plug right in. Ive hear you cant use the si harness but never read. or made mental note of why. Is it possible to go this route? Personnaly im thinking it is easier to just switch around pins on the dpfi harness and roll. But if its just replacing some pins rather then cutting and soldering, and the only thing that hurts is my head then so be it. So i guess what im looking for here is why cant i use the si harness ( yeah i know its prolly been asked but im case specific) and will my teachs idea work? ill take some pics tommorow if anyone needs better example.

to run the si harness you need to swap the dash(in car harness) as well. MUCH easier to do the dpfi harness and swap what you need, many articals have been writen on how to do it.

tell your teacher he sucks at wiring. Simple add the wires needed to the dx harness in the engine bay and cabin. Pretty simple.

You dont. You just have to run injector wires from the ecu and a crank angle. Your teacher is prob saying that he is just going to make one harness out of both..... Or he is a retard.

nah he knows his ----, he has a eletectrical engineering degree or some ---- so he used alot more big words then i did so i had to summarize toy you. i have a feeling hes over thinking it, ill just go with what fourth gen says like i was doing.

only if you try and use the mpfi harness, the mpfi and dpfi in car harness is very different. just add the wires to your dpfi harness and swap the pins, eveyone else does it this way cuz its the easist/best way. I tried the si harness, then switched my plan.

for fucks sakes, the injector wires are on differnt sides, plugs are different. the wiring enters the car on both sides and some are different from which side from each harness. give up on the ------- si harness already. You think if you could just swap pins people would break out the wire and solder :3

the only stupid question is the one not asked. if you have such a large grain of sand in your vagina about it dont reply. GIVE UP ON THE ------ POST WOULD YA.
