Will LSD Diff Fit?
 

im looking into buying a used OBX LSD Diff from a guy for a good price. Question is he took it out of a 98 Civic Ex 5 speed tranny And i have a 90 CRX SI tranny will it still fit ?

thanks for the quick reply i now own it lol but another question while i got the tranny apart and the cases split, im putting this in my boosted crx and i kinda wanna have a higher 5th gear so im not in boost on the highway, can i put a 5th gear from a diff d series tranny in it to fix this now or is just the FD different and actual gearing the same?

why would you ever be in boost on the highway unless you were trying to? boost works off of load, if you are just cruising, you will still be in vacuum. the cable SI 5th gear is perfect IMO

well i guess i didnt phrase that right, im running a small turbo, the tiny snail spools at an 2600 rpm, on the highway im "cruising" at like 34-3600 rpm. If i even touch the gas the thing instantly will spool to like 8 psi i dont like that id like to be able to cruise not only for a safety thing with boost, but also for gas mileage, and longevity of the motor.... p.s. sorry if it doesnt make sense to you idc, i just want to know if its possible

installing into a L3 case = GRIND for clearance!

88-00 not the same CSAddict.......

The taller 5th only gonna drop you about 300 rpms, still gonna have to keep the right foot in check.

there are different OBXs for the cable trannies? i thought the part numbers were the same from 88-00
