Default why is this so hard?

I'm getting fed up with this setup. I am swapping a B18A1 and cable tranny into my 93 civic hatch. I didn't get a hydro tranny cuz i was going to try and save money.. .well thats been a mistake. I am having so much trouble with this setup its crazy. I have tried the hydro to cable conversion from Avid, And recently i've been trying the cable clutch line setup from a 90 integra. The cable works fine, but I cant get the pedal to engage the clutch. So, i got a pedal from a 90 integra, and Theres like no way in hell i can make it fit with what I've got.... I'm guessing this is the reason people dont put this tranny in this car..? Any help would be appreciated.

I would just buy a hydro tranny and sell the one you have now.

What exactly doesn't fit? The pedal assembly? It shouldn't really matter how long the cable is, as long as there is proper tension on it on both ends. You have to tension the tranny end up though in order for the clutch to disengage...i had this problem on mine at first. I left too much slack in the adjuster and i couldn't get the clutch to disengage far enough to shift gears. When you adjust the cable, pull the clutch arm up until it feels like it won't go any further. Run the adjuster down until it feels tight, then back off 1/4 of a turn. Try the pedal now...it should work as long as the pedal has enough throw to it. If the pedal assembly is from a cable clutch car, it should have enough throw. Oh, and if you want to try a 88-91 pedal assembly, let me know...i got a spare one layin around

thanx man, but the pedal from 88 to 91 fit in the 92-95 civic? Thats been my problem is finding one to fit. I have a pedal from a 87 integra and that one isn't working at all. so if you say the 88-91 works, and you got one, hell yea, lemme know how much you want for it and i'll take it. thanx.
