your a ------ idiot...

your solution could have been:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/88-89...10057579QQrdZ1

intakes dont need to be made of a certain material to produce more power, you get almost nothing out of using an air intake. some dyno graphs show that adding an air intake makes you lose power because its hot air, that ebay solution comes with everything. your an idiot for paying as much as you did... you coulda home depo'd the whole intake for les then the ebay one.

you obviously dont know me too well, lol. i dont do something that wont make power.
heres a dyno of the intake im using. ONLY change between the runs was the intake and some minor changes to fuel map to compensate for the increased air.

+5 whp up top, +10wtrq, huge gains in midrange, looks like about 10 whp midrange too. still wanna say the intake is useless? that dyno wasnt on my engine, it was the guys engine who i bought it from. although i expect the same if not more gains. mostly cause my engine will hit intake resonance at a higher RPM's since its smaller, yeilding more gains. plus i plan to do some slight tube length tuning to get resonance where i want i, which means a pipe as long as possible.

and where did i say anything about material? i dont give a ---- if these couplers are silicone, i just needed something the right size. for the 3rd time the home depot couplers are too big (thickness) and look ghetto, and all the ebay intakes are worthless and all have colored couplers, i dont want colored couplers. although ill probably end up getting one just for the pipe. and the one you linked wont work since ill be using a straight pipe, no battery in my way.

oh and despite the fact that that the dyno graph says turbochargers.com, the motor was NA.

you post that dyno graph like im supposed to be impressed?

spending almost 300 dollars on a measely 5hp... LMFAO!!!!!!!!

ill post my dyno graph when i get to a dyno. 300dollars would be spent on more useful items, complete intercooler+piping+all materials. (including ur connectors, no ricy ones)

i bet you that you wouldn't even feel the difference before n after instalin that air intake... unless its nitrous or turbo... you can't do to much that's actually noticable. you didn't "gain" any hp, just free'd up what was being restricted through the stock air box. panty hose woulda got you that spending no money.

no i dont kno who you are and i dont really care who u are. spending 300+ on a ------ air intake is ------ rediclous you moron.

can you count? where to you get 300? lol. 100 for the velocity stack, 40 for the 6" K&N filter, 40 for the couplers. and the pipe will be like 20 at the most. =200.

like i said midrange gains are huge, and will be noticable. this is an all motor build. this isnt some junkyard drag racer like most of you guys build. all motor is expensive, i dont deny it, but i could care less, hell i just spend 950 on headwork/porting. its what i like. and every hp counts. im building the car for road course, and im following the rules and regs of honda challenege since i want to do that eventually. even if i wanted to turbo, i couldnt they are illegal.

and i wasnt trying to impress you with the graph, i was showing you that when done right, and intake does make power, since you seem to think that all intakes are worthless and make no, or less power.

why are you here? junkyard racers like most of us? there's only one and his name is junkyard racer... most people do home made setups that require junkyard parts. n i promise you with less spent they get more gains then you... i bet any amount with all ur money spent on ur "all motor" setup you get spanked by all the single cam guys on the site... even the slowest ones... callin us junkyard racers and your never gonna turbo ur ride or never had plans to. why you still here?
