when to tune
i just rebuilt my motor with stock parts it is chiped with uberdata. i just got it running today and wanted to know should i break it in first then tune it? should i drive it for a few hundred miles then tune it? or tune it asap.

Re: when to tune
Break it in on a stock program for whatever engine your running. Then start tuning.

Re: when to tune
Tune it to the point where you know you're not running lean or detonating. Then go do some 3rd gear pulls, use your brain, if something seems wrong, stop.
This is assuming you've replaced the piston rings with new ones, if you havn't, nothing really needs to be "broken in." |
Re: when to tune
It would help to know what you are doing.
If you just rebuilt the motor and have not turbo'd it; then just break it in without tunning. It doesn't need any. If you turbo'd it, then you have to get it tunned to some degree b4 driving it. |
Re: when to tune
i already have the turbo on. i completely rebuilt it. ring, bearings, all the gaskets everthing. the chiped ecu is running really rich. i had this setup on the same engine befor it blew.
