whats causeing my car to run like this?????
 
well, i have been tryin to figure this out for the past week. im ready to give up. i swaped a d16z6 into my 89 hatch, it ran ok untill i took the tranny off to check something, now when i say it ran i ment it would run not move, thats why i took the tranny off. now i fixed the problome about it not moving, but now it runs like ----, it has no power and takes forever to rev up. the header and the cat dont match up so its running on straight header until i get it running right to drive it up to the muffler shoop. i have messed around with the timing and it still runs the same, the timing IS correct. i checkd my spark plugs and they are black. IM LOST. i did replace the tps, could that have something to do with it?

any cel's??? change fuel filter try a new set of plugs and dont forget to gap them check for spark on all plugs ,o2 sesor??? befor u took the tranny back off it reved up fine and everything??? what injectors and ecu are u running

no cel's, i have tried a different set of plugs out of my a6, ran the same. o2 is fine, before i took the trany of it ran fine. forgot to mention the tps was broke at first, when it was running fine, after we took the tranny off it wouldnt start up unless i held the plug up to the sensor, but it was running like it does now. i changed the tps with one off a obd1, and now it starts up and idles fine, no cels, but runs like ----. i dont know if changing the fuel filter will matter, because its getting too much fuel, or not enuff spark, or sparking too late, at least thats the impresion im under. please help :'(

try resetting the ecu by unplugging the neg on the batt. adj. the tps to where it is right in the middle check ur firing order make shur the cap and rotor arent crudded up are u shure u got the tps in the groove so it moves with ur tps
