What is the problem????
 

alright so I just got my CRX about 3 weeks ago. Whenever I drive I can hear loud metal scraping sometimes. So I called the guy and asked what it was and he said it was the dust guard rubbing up against the brake rotor. So I bent the dust cover away from the rotor and it still makes that loud metal scraping sound, and its getting worse everyday. So today I pull the brakes off and everything and turned the CV axle by hand and heard the scraping sound, so I looked at and there is a little washer in between the hub and the CV axle that is spinning sometimes and when it stops spinning the scraping sound starts, so my question is how do I fix this and what is wrong with it?

Is the washer supposed to be in there?

If not, take it off I guess. :-X

check to see that your axle nut is completely tightened.

possibly need to replace a wheel bearing.

I figured out what it is, it was a little dust cover that goes over the wheel bearing. I just sprayed some WD-40 on it and its good as new ;D.
