What is this plug thing on the front of my block?
I have a 91 crx si and i noticed after i drained my coolant that there is a big plug on the front of my block that is slowly leaking coolant. What is it? i looked in my haynes and it didnt have anything about it... i dont think it has ever leaked before but i could be wrong. I guess the seal for it just went bad or something.
Yeah, I don't think it has a seal. Just a washer. Mine started leaking so I took it off and coated it with RTV.

that is accually a plug for a coolant warmer that they installed on a couple civics i have seen i had a dx motor that had on in it (not a bolt, an accually like wall socket plug) they warm the block in cold so you dont run a frozen motor, pretty nifty in areas like alaska and some canadian hondas have them too.
