i was wondering what size motor comes in the '88 crx si cus my neighbor has one for sale. I want to buy it but it doesn't have a motor in it.

yea that's the crx i'm talking about and will a 1.6 vtec fit in that without any mods to the engine bay.

DOHC zc brown top ( from the older tegs) i belive is a strait foward swap.

buddy of mine just swapped one into that same gen civic hatch, went right in using the stock civic mounts. he had to cut a notch into the timing belt cover, but it clears the belt. it bolts right in, but you gotta swap some of the engine bay and fuel tank fuel lines if the crx is carb'd. other than that your good to go. something about the fuel pickup/return lines are too small for the DOHC D-series.

bugs me he likes to call it an LS, since it came from an "LS" integra.. and he swore by god it was a B series since it was a dual cam, but then he pressure washed the motor and saw the D16 :6

The dohc d motor is a greta buildin block hands down

so the dohc zc would fit with minor mods,sounds good but my neighbor doesn't remember if it was carb'd or not,would i have to anything major if it was. ???
