Re:What exactly is a mini-me?

basically it's in relationship to d-series motors. a vtec head on a non vtec bottom end.

there are some things you need to take in consideration.
older d-series motors will have higher compression.
the swap won't work with 8 valve motors, unless you change to 16 valve pistons, due to the valve reliefs on the pistons.

you should do some research and read the old posts about it. there are many sites that have step by step instructions.

muwahaha but anyway yeah. Vtec head on a non vtec block... B7 block with Y8 or z6 head...a6 block with z6 or y8 head. Y7 block with y8 or z6 head... etc etc You get vtec and a little higher compression if you use the thinner head gasket of course :)

Re:What exactly is a mini-me?

Do you have to get different pistons when you put the Z6 on the B7 block? Which pistons do you use? ???

Re:What exactly is a mini-me?

You use whatever is in the block. Like if it's a b7/z6 mini me. You use the b7 bottom end (pistons/rods/etc)
