what do i have to do?
 
So basically i have a tired Zc that was turbo and is out of the car we swap in a sohc d15b from a 92-95 civic everything runs fine except for at low idle rpms it smokes white. The head gasket has been changed and it stills smokes, oil is crystal clear not milky or anything. I am about had it with this car. I am about to roll it off a cliff :o >:( >:( :o . Me and my friends have worked on it for four days straight that has been since we did the swap so in order it goes like this. First day engine was swapped in Si trans went in car doesnt start trannies diff is broken and stuck in gear. Day two swap in another tranny its too late to get the parts for the car. Day three start the car it throws a crank angle sensor code, distributor bad we fix it get a new dizzy and run the right sohc ecu no check engine lights car smokes white from the down pipe. Day four i take all the turbo crap off and run in NA for today we check cylinder's 4 is soaked in oil and the others are not to bad. We start it and still it smokes white and it smells like maple syrup so we pretty much know that what it has been smoking is coolant it has a vapor type smoke to it. We change head gasket and still it smokes but only at low idles and when i am at a dead stop when i am driving it, it does not smoke it also decided to throw a coolant temp check engine light (code 6) for some reason. Why is my car giving me problems man. I love my rex to death but this is ridicolous. We are coming to the conclusion that it may be a cracked head. We have a d16y something i forgot what it is i believe it is non vtec head. The engine came off a ek 4 door. If possible am i able to put the 1.6 head from the d16 on my d15b which came out of a eg four door? Is there something more drastic with this engine that i am missing. If it is the head what parts do i need to do this setup and Is this something that is even possible. I am at the mercy of my crx this is my dd i need it to be fixed asap. I am getting frustrated at this car >:( >:( >:(. Is there something wrong with the parts i am using i know my car is kinda of a frankenstein. Are the lines on the manifold ran right? :( :( . Any of your comments,input, and advice to what my car is doing will be helpful and greatly appreciated thanks.

Shitty, I know how you feel man... very frustrating.

First off, it just sounds like the head is not sealing, ya I know you replaced the headgasket but somehow coolant is still getting into the CC. In the 7 years I've worked on hondas I've only seen 1 cracked head... its very unlikly but it is a possibility. I assume your cleaned the living ---- out of the deck of the block before you installed the head right? like good enough that you could eat off it? You can put the other head on if you want, I'm not a 100% certain but I think you can use the stock timing belt. Just for reassurance you may want to take the other head to the machine shop and have them resurface it.

Yeah i had that bad boy clean its only on the 4 cylinder it gets coolant in and the rest arent so bad i mean there is no more oil in the cylinder but the coolant is what gets me the most. I myself think this was a neglected used engine it came from a kid who runs cars like ---- he only had it for a cupple of months i picked up the engine for free so it seems. I think that this kid overheated his ---- and maybe beside the head being cracked may be possibly warped a little which may be causing the sealing problem. Well i got the low down on what belt i need it will be one degree advanced or retarded due to the cam gear having 1 extra tooth but that will be fixed until i get an adjustable. I will have it all together tomorrow and see if she runs. If she does not want to run i am scrapping the single cam and moving on the Better thinks. It looks like i might be taking the bus. Well thanks for the info i will keep everyone informed thank for the support. Basically i am doing a mini me without the vtec from what the HT write up says so stay tuned folks well see what happens. :'( :'( :'(

So basically all the time i wasted on this engine its all garbage its all ------- garbage >:(. The douche bag of a kid fucked this ---- up. It was a waste of time pretty much i am driving something else to work. I have a big boat anchor of a sohc. I think i will be paying a visit to the kid and might set this engine right on i mean through his window.
