What from a D16y8 works on D15b2?

Allright, some background.

My roomate has a 91 Civic Dx sedan. MPFI swap, Si tranny and A6 camshaft. What started out as novelty (talk about a sleeper, his tailpipe rusted off last year :)) has taken an interesting twist...

We tossed around the notion of a mini-me, but didn't give it much thought as money and practicality (this is a sedan) won over performance...then by chance, one of my co-workers came to me and asked my advice about some car problems he had been having. Lo and behold, he has a '96 Civic Ex with main/rod bearing failure, and was looking to get the engine replaced.

Long story short, he's having his engine replaced by my preferred mechanic, and they found a longblock d16y8 for his car for cheap...my co-worker has offered to sell me his junk engine (and all components attached) for $200.

The engine had reasonable mileage on it (around 130k), and I think this is a good deal...question is, what can I use, and what's worthless to me? I have a '90 CRX with a DOHC ZC, roomie has 91 DX with MPFI swap...same generation, different engines. Here's what I know I can use:

Head (for mini-me)
Intake Manifold and FPR (also for mini-me)
Exhaust Manifold (either car)
Block (although condition is unknown, definitely needs rebuild)

What definitely doesn't work:
Fuel Injectors (saturated)
Distributor (unless we one day convert the civic to OBD1, unlikely)

What I'm unsure about:
Starter
Alternator
Flywheel
Internal engine block components (water pump, oil pump, etc.)

Basically, I'm looking for advice...if you were in my shoes, what would you do, and what have I missed regarding swappability? Thanks in advance, -Z

or first off all.. the head will not work on your ZC DOHC vs SOHC.. nah dont try it.

Distributor (unless we one day convert the civic to OBD1, unlikely)

actually that car is obd2 :)

the head will work on the d15. Im assuming because the d15 has a MPFI swap it has a Si intake manifold/injectors and ecu?? re-use all that with the y8 head. and add a vtec switch frrom msd. or even better, a VAFC.

Beware the timing on minime are a pain. I also have a d15b2 but with a z6 head. just got tired off messing around with it and pick up a d16y7 from a friend for $50. Now people say use the vx timing belt when using a z6/y8 head on 1.5 but it's damn tight and it whines. Be cafeful though from my experience with mini-mes.
