What was wrong that you felt you needed to pull the motor to begin with??? Rough running? What did the bearings look like?

If you can foot the extra cash might as well get some forged slugs and rods and be done with it.

you can just get the stock ls kit but the b16 ones bump it to around 10.8, just avoid the mad tyte civic type r ---- if your boosting it

engine was making some funky noises.

bearings looked like so

this is just to get the teg back on the road. i have a spare block with a busted sleeve that will possibly be the fun one.

i have never come across stock compression ---- on ebay

Flat-spotted bearings = continuous detonation on that cylinder. I would def. recommend at least having the crank inspected, and possibly polished if the machinist sees fit. If you have hairline cracks in the crank you are wasting your time/money rebuilding it, it will prematurely fail.

Get your ---- tuned too. Were you running a base map?

that engine never saw boost.

thats what pissed me off, damn thing just went. guess ill look for a shop to check crank. bone said it looked like the bearing had been "hammered"

i have no idea what happened, i just wanna fix it.
