Re: walbro 255 starting probblems
first of all this is a tech question.. what car is it on. and it sounds like you dont have much gas in it.

Re: walbro 255 starting probblems
i had this problem in a crx it was to much suction in the tank i wouldnt start, then you losen the gas cap and it fired right up. so i just ran no gas cap and never had the problem again

Re: walbro 255 starting probblems
walbro pumps need atleat a 1/4 tank or they just dont pick up fuel. 1/2 tank+ is best for the crx/civic 88-91 tank

Re: walbro 255 starting probblems
check to make sure the feed line isnt getting kinked and burning out the pump intermitently
|
Re: walbro 255 starting probblems
Or the main relay perhaps, could need to be resoldered.
My walbro 255 doesn't have fuel pickup issues like you guys are saying, I can run that thing down almost to E before it starts to sputter. I had to order just the pickup, sock, and wiring separately though because I bought the pump off a friend that was meant to go in an EG, so maybe the 2-piece pickup/sock combo I have is longer than most. ??? |
Re: walbro 255 starting probblems
i'm starting to think it was the main relay
|
Re: walbro 255 starting probblems
ya thats what we was thinking but ok heres a dumb question where is the relay for the pump???lol i have been driving my car for the past 2 days with no probblems now. i have also heard that the main fuse could be loose also causeing it to happen.
