---- wonder if I could get the head milled to hit 9.0:1 compression

if I remember correctly it's really low in an a6 block

everything you need to figure it out is right here: D Series - Compression Calc
Just make sure you adjust the piston-to-deck height.

any one know what the piston dome displacement is on these

compressions calc kicks ass

I can't get that ------ thing to work guess I'll never know

I was just ------- around with the calc, and here's what I got:

Y8 head----Y8 or Z6 metal HG --- A6 block ----vitara pistons ------A6 rods = 9.047870685548732

That link kills it. In my favorites. It's kinda weird that whoever made it, didn't make it calculate the Piston Deck Clearance Formula:
Deck Height - Compression Height - Rod Length - (Stroke/2) = Piston Deck Clearance

All the info you need is there, but you have to open up a separate calc to figure it out.

A6 212 - Vitara 30 - A6 137mm - (90mm/2) = 0mm piston deck clearance
