Venom intake manifold?

hi, i picked up a venom intake for my 96 civic Y8..after figuring out how to install the iac valve to it and the throttle cable..i am now at a new problem..the fuel rail does not fit..there is a mount running across it to fasten the rail but the injectors are about half an inch away from there bosses..anyone else have this problem? and what is the fix..or what fuel rail is supposed to be used? thanks

You should have some plastic spacers from your old fuel rail that should go in there. if not you can get them from a salvage yard or honda dealer.

you need the fuel rail for the y8. it has diferent mounting points.

Re:Venom intake manifold?

the Y8 fuel rail will not fit, the honda intake pulls the injectors in with 2 studs, the Venom intake has a plate that has threaded holes that line up with the stock rail, only it bolts to it..leaving the injectors out of the bosses.no adjustment at all, ..i will contact Venom and ask, was wondering if anyone else had this problem. i have 2 Y8 intakes if interested..thanks

Re:Venom intake manifold?

figured it out..i ended up having to use an older civic injectors boss o rings, since they are thicker to fit the injectors in, but anyways a good noticeable differance..it seams kinda peaky in the powerband and comes on hard under boost. breaking the tires loose in first and second .i thought my bottom end power would be crap but its just fine..was worth the aggrevation of making it work out right..still dont think its worth the $600.00 the manifold costs ( i got a deal on mine) but if you run across a deal on one like me , pick it up.
