You do now Bisi is running 10.02 on an accord f22a non vtec all motor in his crx. The accord motor is very de tuned. You can get f22a motors for 100-200 bucks from most wreckers.

i see many of you seem to come up with the notion of this be a "stupid ------- idea" as some of you put it. it was just a hypothetical question you assholes. i never said i would actually do it just wanted to know if it would work. i relized that if it could be done it would be costly but how i see it all the swaps that are common place now were once very expensive to pull off and some still are. just wanted to be different than the TYPICAL honda guy, and think up something kind of outrageous. thanx anyway for the replies

As the pic above shows it is [i]possible.[/]

id like to know what the transmission and gearing of the car pictured above used.

also bisi just ran 10.18 at 138mph at Joilet BOTI
(new record)
in an F series based engine(no one is still sure on the displacement as of yet, its likely destroked)

the f series SOHC accord motors are very untapped, as Chris pointed out. if it wasnt for the motor mounts costing so much.. i know of a "few" people that would be on that bandwagon.

Anything is ------- possible. Have you ever see the guy tha has the supercharged V8 rwd crx?

you want to be different from the other honda guys, good luck. there is always someone out there iwth the same ----. you want to be different? put a 1990 d15b2 into a 2000 civic si and do a quad turbo on it with a dual stage intercooler setup. put 24's on there with mismatched tires. or better yet, take that d15b2 block and try to make a 10 second all motor 1.5L.....right

like i siad above anything is ------ possible it is just how much do you want to spend. im sure you can come up with a hell of a more economical means to create power and still be different

Usualy if you attpemt do do anything different, you are scoffed at. Sure it would be harder than a d16a6 or b18a1 swap into a street driven CRX.

Bisimoto was runing mid tens on the 1.5 liter SOHC

as with any forum, you get haters and people that are supporters.
you just have to pick out some truth from each and ultimately decide what you want to do.
this is homemadeturbo and the place where anything is possible.
personally i don't listen to anyone that says you have to pay $$ for stuff. it's all about flat rate and making things work.
good luck

I am unfamiliar with these motors, are the stats really that high??? where did you find this information? i know of someone that had a beater legend with this motor in it, while it did "hussle" around town it did not feel like 178lb ft of torque.

It would prob be easier to go RWD and put a SBC in it. 8)
